The Convention of the Americas welcomes spiritual seekers and anyone curious about the intersection of spirituality and cross-cultural connection. Most participants are affiliated with Centers for Spiritual Living, Unity, Agape International, A Course in Miracles, or other New Thought traditions, but all are welcome.

Yes. General sessions and workshops have simultaneous English/Spanish interpretation. Meditation sessions are offered bilingually or with consecutive interpretation. Friday's Participant-led Breakout Sessions will have a language designation (EN/ES/BI). Bilingual (EN/ES) participants are identifed by a ribbon on their name badge. They are often happy to help keep the conversation flowing at mealtimes and in casual groupings. Language is never a barrier to belonging.

Full refunds are available up to 30 days before the event minus a small processing fee. No refunds within 30 days, but registrations may be transferred to another attendee. Yes. Guests may arrive as early as Friday, July 17 and extend their stay as late as Monday, July 27. You must book any extra night(s) through our registration page to receive the special $125 USD per night convention rate.

Excursions can be added to your registration package. Choose from available options on Thursday and Saturday. Excursions are concurrent, so you may only choose one per day. Spots are limited and tend to fill quickly, so we encourage early selection. All excursions depart from and return to the hotel portico. Thursday half-day 9 AM – 2 PM Saturday full-day 9 AM – 6 PM Each excursion has a planned meal break at a predetermined restaurant. The cost of your meal is not included in the convention registration or the excursion price.

The Convention Registration Desk opens at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 21. Hotel check-in is at 3 PM. Hotel check-out is 11 AM.

Chapala is in the Mexico City time zone (Hora de Mexico). In the summer, Mexico City is on the same time zone as Denver, Colorado. (US- Mountain Daylight Time)

Anytime you travel abroad is is wise to purchase travel insurance in case medical attention is needed for some reason. Healthcare in Mexico is top notch should you need it.

Yes. The state of Jalisco and the cities of Chapala, Guadalajara, and Tequila are some of the safest places in Mexico. Simply exercise the same level of awareness and caution that you would when visiting an unfamiliar place in your own country. For added security at the Convention site, hotel guests and convention participants are issued wristbands. Hotel security is posted 24 hours at the main entrance and monitors wristbands.

Guests of the hotel are provided with bottled water in their rooms. There is a drinking water station in Salon Estancia where you can refill your personal water bottle. Ice in beverages at meals is made with purified water.
